ExperienceA graduate of Mercy College, where I earned a Master of Science degree in Education, my knowledge puts me in the right place to assist with a variety of educational needs. I am certified in Early Childhood Education in the state of New York. Currently, I am waiting on professional certificates in Childhood and Special Education to add to my credentials. I received training at the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education, where I learned the Orton-Gillingham method. For four years, I have taught first grade. I started out teaching underprivileged students in Brooklyn, and then I came to my current place of employment, a private school in New City.My experiences have allowed me to became adept at helping students catch up to where they need to be per their grade level. As a professional teacher, I have been held to strict standards of educating my students, and I am responsible for ensuring my classes meet mandated requirements. I am the type of instructor who researches to find out which methods will best improve every child's learning environment.
